OVERVIEW

Through extensive background research, it has been found that BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) identifying individuals have more difficulty accessing beneficial opportunities and integrating into their Predominantly White Institutions (PWIs). Because of this, I decided to empathize, investigate, and better understand the underlying challenges faced by BIPOC students.

LOW-FI WIREFRAMES

Intentional and impactful. The typographic and component layout was designed to feel inviting and trustworthy, while still communicating meaningful and empowering messaging with a clean sans serif typeface. This allows the faces and personalities of the organization to speak.

HIGH FIDELITY WIREFRAMES

Comfort and Trust. The colors used are a derivation of the Syracuse University color scheme, with different shades of orange along with neutral skin tones, bringing a feeling of home and familiarity by creating comfort and establishing trust. Various shades of colors and contrast provide a visual representation of many identities, along with the wide opportunities the application provides.
